Weebly is looking for a User Experience Researcher to join us in our goal to empower entrepreneurs across the globe by building world-class experiences. A successful candidate will have a true passion for the intricacies of user research, a professional yet personable presence, an innovative and flexible approach to finding answers to complex research problems, and the ability to tell a story with data in a way that everyone can understand. You will be responsible for executing a variety of research studies throughout the product lifecycle (including generative and evaluative methods) to support the design and development of experiences across a variety of platforms and audiences. As only the second member of the User Research team at Weebly, you will have a huge opportunity to influence and expand the user-centered culture and advance the customer empathy across the company.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with designers, product managers and other stakeholders to identify research needs and develop creative solutions to research challenges

  • Design and execute all phases of users research studies (including field and lab-based studies, heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs and contextual inquiries) across web and mobile platforms

  • Synthesize and illustrate findings into meaningful and actionable insights and share these results with cross-functional teams

  • Add to research findings with data from other sources including analytics, customer support records, sales contacts, etc.

  • Look for opportunities to proactively add to our customer knowledge outside of reactive, needs-based projects


  • Requirements:


  • 4+ years in applied product/design research

  • Bachelors or Masters in HCI, Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related field

  • Demonstrated ability of designing and conducting user research using a variety of methodologies

  • Excellent presentation and writing skills coupled with a high attention to detail

  • Excellent observational skills and a great analytical ability

  • Ability to give design recommendations based on knowledge of web and mobile design patterns, usability heuristics and understanding of cognitive processes

  • Flexibility to revise and improvise research plans as needed


  • Nice to haves:


  • Experience conducting a variety of marketing research methods

  • Experience conducting complex quantitative studies (i.e. conjoint analysis, MaxDiff, etc.)
